Easy come, easy go
First they found WMDs, then they didn't. And none of it was even close to what Bush indicated in his 2003 State of the Union address. I mean, even if it were all true, Bush would still be an asshole for bombing the crap out of Iraw, killing 850 of our soldiers and thousands of Iraqi civilians, as well as ruining our alliances and fostering more terrorism in the world, for a few laced warheads.
A few thoughts about the whole WMD issue:
--It's been 15 months since we invaded Iraq. We've found shit. If the weapons did exist, who's to say whose hands they're in now. And, if they ended up in terrorist hands, how come, given all of their attacks in Iraq, they haven't used them? They don't fucking exist, that's why.
--It seems to me that, if these weapons were the big threat they were supposed to be, securing them should've been the first thing we did when we invaded. Was there even any talk of that? It was much more important for us to secure the Ministry of Oil.
--Remember--never forget this point--that the main reason we invaded was because Saddam had these weapons and, since he refused to disarm in our eyes (he claimed he already had), he was a threat to his neighbors, us, and the whole world.
--Let's not forget Ahmed Chalabi, who, after being outed as nothing better than a spy for Iran has completely disappeared from the media radar, fed the Pentagon the big WMD lie and they ate it up.
